The Greatest Band?
The Red Hot Chili Peppers, in my opinion, are the last "great" band. They have history and soul. Their music is phenomenal. The pure sound of the Fender Stratocaster, the powerful drums, the heartfelt bass guitar, the perfect lyrics. There is no other band out there like the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Few bands these days make it 10 years. The Chili Peppers have been around for over two decades.
The Lineup
The Red Hot Chili Peppers were formed in 1982. The band was formed in Los Angeles, California. The group originally consisted of Anthony Kiedis (vocals), Michael "Flea" Balzary (bass), Hillel Slovak (guitar), and Jack Irons (drums). The current linup is : Anthony Kiedis (vocals), "Flea" (bass), John Frusciante (guitar), and Chad Smith (drums).
More Info
They've had to deal with drugs and deaths, and yet they've overcome all of that. While rock music has really taken a plunge in quality, they continue to make unique and great music, while sticking to their roots and adding different things.
