The Death of Rock Music

Where has rock music gone?

Rock music has taken a turn for the worse. Much of the modern rock music is leaning towards pop music's sound. What happened to the rocks stars like Jimi Hendrix or Kurt Cobain? Rock music these days is pathetic...it's embarrassing.

The modern guitar playing isn't nowhere as good as it used to be. Guitarists lack creativity. What happened to guitar solos? No longer can you hear the pluck of the strings. Now guitarists use all these different electronic sounds and distortion. Some real rock distortion is great. But when it sounds like they're playing a keyboard rather than a guitar then it becomes unattractive to the ear, to mine at least.

And the lyrics in these new rock songs are horrible. There's nothing "deep" to the meaning. When will I be able to turn on the radio and hear a song that I haven't heard before that I like?
