What to Do This Fall...

Fall is my favorite season of the year. It is underrated. The leaves are changing all kinds of colors. The birds are chirping angelic songs. The temperature is perfect. It is a heavenly time of year. Fall doesn't need to be spent inside. Get out. Go to the park. Play some sports. Excercise. Go barbecue. Plan a trip with your family and friends.

"The Good Ole Days"

Growing up in the South (U.S) "back in the day" was quite different than it is these days. The main difference is that we were outside more. The sun was no stranger to us. There were not many things to keep us entertained indoors. We'd spend hours upon hours digging a hole, playing in the dirt, and jumping on the trampoline. We had fun with anything and everything. There were no side safety nets on the trampoline. We'd bounce really high and sometimes get hurt. Bruises and scrapes were a part of daily life. From sun up to sun down, we'd be outside. We had friends that we actually talked to in person. We actually walked to their homes. Every Sunday everyone went to church. Life was so much different back then.

Ten Worst Video Game Movies

Shortly after video games were being made came video game movies, or movies based on video games. Video games have become a way of life for our generation as well as movies. So it is obvious that directors would think that movies based on video games would be successful. Although there are a few video game movies that are good, most seem to fall short of expectations. Some things should just remain in the video game world and out of Hollywood. So here's a list of what I think are the worst movies based on video games:
10. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
9. Doom
8. Double Dragon
7. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation
6. Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li
5. Wing Commander
4. Bloodrayne
3. Alone in the Dark
2. House of the Dead
1. Super Mario Bros

Why Elderly Drivers Are Dangerous

Introduction
Ever get behind a car that's going like twenty miles below the speed limit? And when you actually get up the courage to pass the driver and you look in the window, who do you see? An "old person" crunched over the steering wheel not even noticing that you are passing. I love the elderly. I just think that they are not meant behind the wheel of a car. Maybe a re-evaluation test should be taken every so often once you reach a certain age. Or maybe their licenses should just be invalidated. The fact is that people's senses deteriorate with age. Reaction time is one of the most important senses for driving.

What I Think Should Be Done
I think that regulations for older drivers should be implemented. After a driver reaches 70, they should have to be re-examined each year they decide to continue driving. And after the age 85, they should not be allowed to drive. Good transportation should be provided for the elderly after the age 70 even at a small cost. And if you're an elderly person, it'd be wise for you to ride with family or friends when possible for your safety and the safety of others on the road. With age come wisdom, but also deteriorating senses.

The Death of Rock Music

Where has rock music gone?

Rock music has taken a turn for the worse. Much of the modern rock music is leaning towards pop music's sound. What happened to the rocks stars like Jimi Hendrix or Kurt Cobain? Rock music these days is pathetic...it's embarrassing.

The modern guitar playing isn't nowhere as good as it used to be. Guitarists lack creativity. What happened to guitar solos? No longer can you hear the pluck of the strings. Now guitarists use all these different electronic sounds and distortion. Some real rock distortion is great. But when it sounds like they're playing a keyboard rather than a guitar then it becomes unattractive to the ear, to mine at least.

And the lyrics in these new rock songs are horrible. There's nothing "deep" to the meaning. When will I be able to turn on the radio and hear a song that I haven't heard before that I like?

The Red Hot Chili Peppers Are The Last Real Band

The Greatest Band?
The Red Hot Chili Peppers, in my opinion, are the last "great" band. They have history and soul. Their music is phenomenal. The pure sound of the Fender Stratocaster, the powerful drums, the heartfelt bass guitar, the perfect lyrics. There is no other band out there like the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Few bands these days make it 10 years. The Chili Peppers have been around for over two decades.

The Lineup
The Red Hot Chili Peppers were formed in 1982. The band was formed in Los Angeles, California. The group originally consisted of Anthony Kiedis (vocals), Michael "Flea" Balzary (bass), Hillel Slovak (guitar), and Jack Irons (drums). The current linup is : Anthony Kiedis (vocals), "Flea" (bass), John Frusciante (guitar), and Chad Smith (drums).

More Info
They've had to deal with drugs and deaths, and yet they've overcome all of that. While rock music has really taken a plunge in quality, they continue to make unique and great music, while sticking to their roots and adding different things.
